Matthew Hale
Matthew has been focused on residential construction since his early high school years. He took classes in architectural drafting during the school year and worked as a carpenter for a local contractor in Carmel, Ca during the summers. Upon graduating from Carmel High School in 2001, he chose to enroll in Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo's Construction Management Department.
While attending Cal Poly, he gained knowledge in all aspects and genres of construction, though he knew the residential sector was his passion. He decided to obtain a minor from the City and Regional Planning Department in Real Properties Development to learn more about the planning and pre-construction process. During the school year, and every summer, he worked as a carpenter/foreman for various contractors and property managers in San Luis Obispo and Carmel, Ca.
Upon graduating from the Construction Management and City and Regional Planning Departments, Matthew chose to go to work for Centex Homes' San Luis Obispo Division. He began as a Field Manager, in charge of all daily activities for a 154-lot subdivision in Lompoc, Ca. Scheduling sub contractors, conducting site meetings, cost control, forecasting and home owner walks were all part of his daily schedule.
